Auto-Compounding Protocols
Due to the success of Beefy Finance, there’s been a huge surge in auto-compounding protocols on BSC. They’re are competing for your Pancakeswap LP tokens. As a result, they are juicing up the yields by offering their own governance token as an additional reward. So not only will you earn the auto-compounding yield from Pancakeswap, but you’ll also earn another yield from the auto-compounding protocol. For instance lets say your provide liquidity to the SWTH-BNB pair on Pancakeswap. You’ll earn the following APR in CAKE tokens.
Lets say you decided to deposit your LP token into Swamp Finance to auto-compound your CAKE yield. This basically means your CAKE rewards get sold for SWTH and BNB to be added to your existing LP position. This would be your projected APY.
On top of this APY you would also earn SWAMP tokens which don’t get auto-compounded.
To hedge against impermanent loss, I’m selling my SWAMP rewards every couple days for more SWTH tokens.
Swamp Finance
This protocol is relatively new but is very quick to list new and hot LP pairs. Also, they are collaborating with numerous projects on BSC to juice up yields. Check them out on Twitter to learn more.
Eleven Finance
This protocol came to the BSC scene around the same time as Swamp Finance. However, their yields for farming are usually less than Swamps. Swamp in my opinion has done a better job of propping up the price of their token which enables them to give out a fatter yield. On the hand, Eleven supports many more LP pairs. I’m impressed at how quickly they were able to add so many pairs in a short period of time. If you want to keep up with the latest additions, make sure to follow them on Twitter.
Remember you’re always at risk of losing all your funds when you use these protocols. This is the wild wild west of finance, so make sure to do your own due diligence before getting involved.
Fulcrum on BSC
Like many other Ethereum based projects, BZX decided to expand into BSC in hopes of gaining more traction. After a series of hacks, they’ve had a hard time getting users to return. Plus the rising network fees on Ethereum are also deterring users. For these reasons, they’ve decided to launch on BSC with a new token, BGOV. The token will be inflationary and it will entitle users to cash flow generated by the protocol. When I first provided liquidity to BGOV-BNB pool, BGOV was trading a little less than 4 cents. Given the massive yield many people have decided to provide liquidity to the BGOV-BNB pool. As a result, the price of BGOV hit a high of 25 cents before falling to 18 cents.
As the token price rises, so do the yields. You don’t need to provide liquidity to a two asset pool and risk IL. Instead you can deposit a single asset like USDT, BUSD, ETH, BTC, and BNB. Once they enable margin trading for more assets, you’ll also get an additional yield in like interest.
